Caribou is the stage name of Dan Snaith, a Canadian record producer, composer and musician. He has also performed under the aliases Daphni and Manitoba. He was born Daniel Victor Smith in 1978, in Dundas, Ontario, Canada. He released his first two albums in the early 2000s before changing his stage name for the actual one. In 2005, he released “The Milk of Human Kindness” through The Leaf Label. The album was described as a blend of folk, psychedelia and electronica. It was a huge success and it reached number 29 on the UK Independent Albums chart. Until 2020, Snaith had released 20 albums under the stage name Caribou including acclaimed “Our Love” in 2014. He has toured in more than 15 countries including England, France and the U.S.
