Carissa Kainani Moore, or just Carissa Moore, is an American professional surfer, born on August 27, 1992, in Honolulu, Hawaii.

She started surfing with her dad when she was five years old at Waikiki Beach.  She entered NSSA junior surf competitions and started collecting wins. At age 16 in 2008, she won the Reef Hawaiian Pro and became the youngest champion at a Triple Crown of Surfing. Two years later, when Kelly Slater won his 11th world title, Carissa became the youngest world champion. She is a four-time World Surf League World Champion in 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2019. Only two other female surfers have won four or more surfing world titles - Stephanie Gilmore and Layne Beachley. Since 2016, January 4 has been celebrated as “Carissa Moore Day" in Hawvaii.
