Carlos Gonzalez is a Venezuelan professional baseball player born in Maracaibo, Venezuela on October 17, 1985. He currently plays as a right fielder for the Cleveland Indians in the Major League Baseball. He signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2002. In 2003 he started his professional career playing in the rookie league for the Missoula Osprey. In 2004 he played for the teams the Yakima Bears and the South Bend Silver Hawks. He played again for the Silver Hawks in 2005. In 2006 he played for the Lancaster JetHawks and the Tennessee Smokies. In 2007 he was traded to the Oakland Athletics and in 2008 made his MLB debut against the Texas Rangers and made his first career hit. In 2008 he was traded to the Colorado Rockies and played with the team until 2018. In 2019 he signed a contract with the Cleveland Indians where he currently plays. Gonzalez has a batting average of .287, has had 1,403 hits, 231 home runs, 775 runs batted in, and 122 stolen bases.
