Carlos Rivera was born Carlos Rivera Guerra on March 15, 1986, in Huamantla, Mexico. His earliest achievements include winning on a competition on Radio Huamantla. His first television appearance was on TV Azteca for La Academia, a singing competition. He gained the nickname Huamantla’s favorite son due to the competition.
In 2005, Sony Music signed him and his song “Y Si tu Supieras” was used in the feature film Mar de Sueños. The said song received a nomination for the Best Original Song at the 2006 Diosas de Plata. He also played Simba in the Spanish production of The Lion King where he won received the Best Actor award during the 2012 Broadway World Spain Awards.
In 2016, he played the role of Andrés Salinas in El hotel de los secretos. He received two awards for his role in the TV series, Best Co-lead Actor and Best Make Revelation. He released another album, Guerra, in 2018.
