Carlos Vives Bio
Carlos Alberto Vives Restrepo was born on August 7, 1961 in Santa Marta, Colombia. He is a Colombian singer, songwriter, and actor. He has performed with other celebrities such as Rafael Escalona, Juanes, Bloque de Búsqueda, Sidestepper, Ricardo Arjona, and Shakira.
He won the 2002 and 2015 Grammy Awards for Best Tropical Latin Album. In 2013, he was nominated for World’s Best Album, World’s Best Male Artists and World’s Best Live Act. He also won the Latin Grammy Awards more than 10 times – Record Of the Year (2016), Song Of the Year (2016), Best Tropical Song (2014), Best Contemporary Tropical Album (2014), Song Of the Year (2013), Best Tropical Song (2013) and many more. Carlos also won Premios Nuestra Tierra five times and was nominated six times.
