Carly Fiorina is a successful businesswoman born in Austin, Texas on 6 September, 1954. Formerly known as Cara Carleton Sneed, the American business woman was the first lady to lead a Dow Jones Industrial Average-listed company. She is mostly known for being the CEO and Chairman of Hewlett-Packard. Carly steered the company into becoming a multi-billion dollar tech corporation. Carly showed her business skills when she engineered a merge between Compaq computers and HP back in 2002.
Before embarking her journey at Hewlett-Packard, the famous business woman spent 15 years at AT&T's North American operations, becoming the first woman to be named as officer at the company. Later, in 1996, she was promoted to president in charge of sales at Lucent’s Global Service Provider.
In 2005, Fiorina resigned as CEO from Hewlett-Packard and pursued a political career. In 2016, Carly even attempted a nomination from the Republican party to run for president in 2016.
