Carmela Zumbado Bio

Carmela Zumbado is an American actress of Cuban and Colombian descent, born on February 27, 1991, in California. She rose to fame playing Deliah Alves in Netflix hit thriller series You, an investigative journalist and guardian of her sister Ellie played by Jenna Ortega. She made her television debut in 2012 on the TV series documentary America's Most Wanted: America Fights Back playing both Karen and Teresa Martinez. Later she starred in the TV film Freestyle Love supreme that was adapted into Broadway. 

Her film debut was as Jeny 'B' in Need for Space in 2014. In 2019, she starred as Ximena Arista in the drama The Wall of Mexico. Carmela is the daughter of photojournalist Tony Zumbado and sister of actresses Marisela Zumbado and Gigi Zumbado.
