Carol Burnett was born, Carol Creighton Burnett on April the 26th 1933 and is an American writer, singer, comedian and actress who has had a long career primarily in television. The actress made her television debut in 1959 in The Garry Moore Show, where she remained until 1962. With film credits that include Pete ‘n’ Tillie in 1972 as Tillie, the comedy A Wedding and 2009’s comedy Post Grad as Grandma Maureen.
With noteworthy television roles that include Carol Bradford in The Lucy Show, and host her own shows titled, The Carol Burnett Show and Carol Burnett & Company, the actress also worked in television films such as Eunice, The Laundromat and more. With books released such as This Time Together: Laughter and Reflection and One More Time: A Memoir By Carol Burnett, the actress has won a Peabody for her comedic performances.
