Cass McCombs is a songwriter and musician born on 13th November 1977 in the United States. He has been active in the music industry since 2002. His music style has been described as a blend of alt-country, punk, folk, rock, and psychedelic. He played in different bands in the early days of his career before relocating to San Francisco in 2001, where he released his first EP, titled “Not the Way EP”. In 2003, he released his debut album, titled “A”. In the same year, he toured extensively with the OXES and his backing band.
In 2005, he released his second album, titled PREfection” and went on tour with rock band Model Mouse in support of the album. He later relocated to Southern California and started working on his third album, titled “Dropping the Writ”. He went on to release the albums “Catacombs” in 2009, “Wit's End” in 2011, “Humor Risk” in 2011, “Big Wheel and Other” in 2013, “Mangy Love” in 2016 and “Tip of the Sphere” in 2019.
