Cautious Clay is the stage name of the American singer, songwriter, and record producer Josh Karpeh. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 30, 1993. He had an interest in music at a young age and started playing the flute at seven years old. While in high school he started playing the saxophone in his high school’s jazz band. He went to college at George Washington University and while at college started leaning to produce music. In 2015 he released a remix of “Ocean Eyes” by Billie Eilish on SoundCloud. He released his debut single in 2017 titled “Cold War” and followed it up in 2018 with his debut EP Blood Type. On March 8, 2018 he performed his debut live performance to a sold out crowd at Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn. He released his second EP the same year titled RESONANCE.
