Carsten Charles Sabthia Jr., better known as CC Sabathia is a former professional Major League Baseball Pitcher, born on July 21, 1980, in Vallejo, California. He is most famous for leading the New York Yankees to a World Series Championship in 2009, and also his pitching helped the Yankees clinch the American League Wild Card Game in 2015.
He began his MLB career in 2001 with the Cleveland Indians, and in 2003 was named to his first All-Star game. In 2001, he finished second to Ichiro Suzuki in AL Rookie of the Year voting. He has successfully played 19 seasons in the MLB for different teams including New York Yankees, Cleveland Indians, and Milwaukee Brewers. He used his left hand to throw and bat. In 2008, he was traded from Cleveland Indians to Milwaukee Brewers for Rob Bryson, Zach Jackson, Michael Brantley, and Matt LaPorta. While he was part of that team, he showed tremendous talent. From 2009 until 2019, he remained part of the New York Yankees. As an actor, C.C. Sabathia appeared in a couple of TV series including Cubed, Fielders Choice, God Friended Me, and Billions.
