CeCe Winans Bio

CeCe Winans was born Priscilla Marie Winans in Detroit Michigan on October 8, 1964. She released an album with her sibling BeBe and they released the album Lord Lift Us Up in 1984 while they were still members of the PTL Singers. In 1991, they released the album Different Lifestyles which made it to the top spot of the Gospel R&B and Hip-Hop charts in Billboard. The song also won a Grammy award and it spawned two singles, “I’ll Take You There” featuring Mavis Staples and “Addictive Love” which peaked at No. 1 of several Billboard charts.

CeCe started her career as a solo artist in 1995 with the release of Alone in His Presence. This was followed by more albums in the gospel genre like His Gift and Everlasting Love.

She decided to concentrate on R&B with a self-titled album released in 2001.
