Chad Lawson Bio

Chad Lawson is a renowned pianist celebrated for his emotive and evocative musical style. He is a distinguished pianist renowned for his emotive and evocative musical style. With a career spanning over two decades, Lawson has enraptured audiences globally with his mastery of the piano. He was born in Morganton, North Carolina, United States, on March 26, 1975.

Initially classically trained, Lawson harbored aspirations of attending the prestigious Peabody Institute during his high school years. He later pursued his passion at the Berklee College of Music, where he majored in jazz performance. In 1997, Lawson founded the Chad Lawson Trio alongside drummer Al Sergel and bassist Zack Page. His journey led him to perform internationally as a member of Julio Iglesias' tour band in 2007. Upon his return to the United States in 2009, Lawson marked his solo debut with the release of the acclaimed album "Set on a Hill."

His extensive discography includes hit singles such as "Nocturne in a Minor," "In the Waiting," "Matilda," "Fields of Forever," "When the Party’s Over," and "The Color of the Sky," along with albums like "The Piano," "Home Sweet Home," and "Breathe."
