Charlotte Riley is a British actress, born on December 29, 1981, in England, UK. She is best known for her role in the TV adaptation of Wuthering Heights in 2009 and has also appeared in the popular TV show Peaky Blinders starring Cillian Murphy and Helen McCrory. She is married to actor Tom Hardy with whom she worked on Wuthering Heights and The Take.
Charlotte graduated from LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) in 2007 and also has a degree in English and Literature from Durham University. Charlotte won the Sunday Times’ Playwriting Award for Shaking Cecilia in 2004, co-written with Tiffany Wood. She has appeared in many popular movies including Edge of Tomorrow, In the Heart of the Sea, and London Has Fallen. In 2013, she was nominated for Best Actress for the movie Entity at the British Horror Film Festival Awards.
