Chaunte Wayans Bio

Chaunte Wayans (born May 24 1982 in New York City, USA) is an American actress, writer, and comedian, best known for Scary Movie 2 (2001), Dance Flick (2009), and Fifty Shades of Black (2016).

Chaunte began her career as a writer and producer for various TV shows and films, including the hit series "Fifty Shades of Black." She also worked on TV series including "Tiffany Haddish Presents: They Ready". Her first acting role was in the 2009 movie Dance Flick. In 2016, she portrayed Charlese in Fifty Shades of Black in 2016. Chaunte was a featured cast member on MTV’s sketch comedy series Nick Cannon Presents: Wild N’ Out.

Chaunte has been featured in various magazines and media outlets including Forbes, Essence, and The New York Times. She was also listed as one of Variety's "Top 10 Comics to Watch" in 2020. Also in 2020, Chaunte won the BET Social Award for Best Comedian. In addition, she has performed at some of the most prestigious comedy festivals, including the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, the New York Comedy Festival, Laugh Factory, and WTF with Marc Maron.
