Cheick Guillaume Ouedraogo, better known as Cheick Kongo, is a French mixed martial artist who has competed as a heavyweight with the world’s top MMA promotions. He was born in Paris, France, on May 17, 1975. Cheick began his professional MMA career in 2001 when he defeated Andre Tete at a Rings Holland event. He made his UFC debut in 2006 when he defeated Gilbert Aldana by TKO. Throughout his time with the UFC, Cheick shared the octagon with fellow heavyweights Mark Hunt, Frank Mir, Cain Velasquez, and Pat Berry. He moved to Bellator in 2013, and he went on to make a name for himself with consistent top 10 performances in the heavyweight division.
