Cheryl Bio

Singer and television celebrity Cheryl Cole was born Cheryl Ann Tweedy on June 30, 1983. Having grown up in England, she frequently appeared on television as a young girl and took up dancing by the time she was four years old. After ending up in the top five of the televised singing competition Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, Cheryl Cole and the other four girls formed the group Girls Aloud. The quintet released their debut single “Sound of the Underground” in 2002, which became a #1 hit in the UK. This preceded their debut album Sound of the Underground in the Spring of 2003. Together, Girls Aloud released seven certified albums in total and won a Brit Award for Best Single in 2009 for their song “The Promise”.

In 2008, Cheryl Cole became one of the judges for The X Factor, shortly before releasing her debut album 3 Words in 2009. Three singles from the album, “Fight for This Love”, “3 Words”, and “Parachute” led her to international stardom. Cheryl Cole would go on to release the albums Messy Little Raindrops in 2010, A Million Lights in 2012, and Only Human in 2014.
