Cheslin Kolbe Bio
Cheslin Kolbe is a professional rugby player born in Kraaifontein, Cape Province, South Africa, on October 28, 1993. He has played for Toulouse in the Top14, the Stormers in Super Rugby, and Western Province in the Currie Cup. He has won the World Cup and Rugby Championship, and Lions Series with the Boks.
Cheslin won the Top14 and European Rugby Champions Cup with Toulouse and Currie Cup with the Western Province. In 2019, he received a nomination for World Rugby Player of the Year. The same year, he won the Top 14 Player of the Season and Top 14 Try of the Season.
Cheslin played for the South African national Sevens between 2012 and 2017. He represented South Africa at the U20 level and in the 2016 Olympics, where he won a bronze medal. He is part of Roc Nation Sports, the Gilbert rugby family, Laureus, and Nike. In 2021, Cheslin received the SA Players' Player of the Year award.
