Child of the Parish Bio
Child of the Parish is a musical artist group that consists of three members: Pius Bak (an artist), Tom Vella (Singer), and Tom’s brother, Ben Vella (Producer and Writer). Inspired by Alan Moore’s Watchmen and Katsuhiro Otomo’s Akira, the trio creates music combined with visual effects. Implemented into their art form are eerie historical stories and comic-type visuals in collaboration with musical experimentation.
The group was formed in 2015 when Ben (previously songwriter for famous group Vaults), wanted to try something different. Together with his brother, Tom, and artist Pius Bak, the trio released their first song Relish of the Past in 2020. Even though the song didn’t win any awards, it was highly acclaimed by Jack Saunders and Annie Mac, as well as BBC 6Music and Radio 1.
Child of the Parish released another song named Make it Better in 2020, that features the same atmospheric melodies and euphoric beats.
