Chilly Gonzales Bio

Chilly Gonzales, also known as Jason Charles Beck, is a Canadian-born and Europe based pianist, multi-instrumentalist, and rap MC born in 1972 in Montreal, Quebec. Collaborating with punk and electronic producer Peaches, he released his first single, included in his full-length album debut “Gonzales Uber Alles” (2000). The artist followed with “The Entertainist” (2000) and “Presidential Suite” (2002), while also teaming up with Renaud Letang to co-produce a number of artists like Feist and Charles Aznavour. Returning to his solo career, Gonzales issued the instrumental “Piano Solo” in 2005, and also a third LP titled “Soft Power” in 2008. He went on to stand out as a piano player breaking a record for continuous playing, and dueling against Andrew W.K. Gonzales has also ventured into film scoring, with “Ivory Tower” (2010), and into musical education with the instructional “Re-Introduction Etudes” (2014). From 2015 on, the musician collaborated with the Kaiser Quartett and Jarvis Cocker.
