Chris Isaak Bio

Christopher Joseph Isaak (June 26, 1956), better known as Chris Isaak, is an American rock musician from Stockton, California. Throughout his career, he has released nine albums and has been nominated for two Grammy awards. Isaak began to perform after graduating college and formed the rock band Silverstone. His first release was in 1985 titled ‘Silverstone’ and followed with a self titled album in 1987. While still pursuing a music career, Chris signed on to be an actor in several films such as Married to the Mob, The Silence of the Lambs, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me and Dirty Shame. Isaak returned to music in 1989 with ‘Heart Shaped World’ along with his single, ‘Wicked Game’ which was featured in the movie Wild at Heart. This was followed by the albums ‘San Francisco Days’ in 1993, ‘Forever Blue’ in 1995 and ‘The Baja Sessions: Speak of the Devil’ in 1996. Isaak went to continuously tour around the U.S. and produced his sixth album, ‘Always Got Tonight’ in 2004. Isaak continued to produce many more albums over the years, including two Christmas albums whilst also having his own TV performance segment on The Biography Channel titled The Chris Isaak Hour. His most recent feature was on the X Factor Australia as a judge/mentor in 2015. Isaak’s four decade long career has been a wide success as he was added to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
