Christopher Neal Jackson, better known as Chris Jackson, is an American actor, singer, and composer best known for his work in film, television, and theatre. He was born in Cairo, Illinois, United States, on September 30, 1975. Chris made his Broadway debut in 1997 when he was cast as Simba in the production of The Lion King, and he has since performed in numerous theatre productions including Hamilton, Memphis, In the Heights, and Beggar's Holiday. He began his screen acting career in 2003 when he was cast in the TV series Oz, a performance that has been followed by recurring roles in the TV series Bull, And Just Like That..., and Central Park. His filmography includes We Are Freestyle Love Supreme, Sesame Street: 50 Years of Sunny Days, and You'll Be a Man, but he is best known for starring in the film adaptation of Hamilton which also featured Lin-Manuel Miranda, Phillipa Soo, Leslie Odom Jr., Daveed Diggs, and Renée Elise Goldsberry.
