Christopher John Matthews, also known as Chris, was born on 17th December, 1945 in Nicetown-Tioga, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. He is an author, journalist, former political commentator, and retired talk show host. After high school, he studied economics at the University of North Carolina and after graduation served in the Peace Corps (from 1968 to 1970). Matthews has worked in politics and government, he ran for the US House of Representatives but his attempt was unsuccessful. He is best known for hosting “Hardball with Chris Matthews” on MSNBC, “The Chris Matthews Show”, “Morning Joe”, “Election Night”, and “Hardball Weekend”. As an author, he is known for “Bobby Kennedy: A Raging Spirit”, “Kennedy & Nixon”, “American”, “Jack Kennedy: Elusive Hero”, “Now, Let Me Tell You What I Really Think”, and many more.
