Actress Chrissy Metz, born Christine Michelle Metz on September 29th 1980 in Florida, originally struggled to get cast in Hollywood and worked as her agent’s assistant. The actress made appearances in Entourage, All of Us, Loveless in Los Angeles, My Name Is Earl, Huge, and American Horror Story. Chrissy landed her breakout role in This Is Us as Kate Pearson. Contractually the actress was obligated to lose weight as part of her character arc. Her performance scored her an Emmy nomination, and two Golden Globe nominations over the years. Metz went on to snag roles in The Last O.G., Sierra Burgess Is a Loser, Breakthrough, and Superstore. Chrissy also lent her voice to the TV series Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny. Metz published an autobiography titled This Is Me: Loving the Person You Are Today.
