Christian Bale was born on January 30, 1974, in Haverfordwest. The English actor is known for iconic roles in movies including American Psycho (2000), The Prestige (2006), and the Dark Knight Series, in which he played Batman.
Bale started his acting career in the late 80s, with roles in movies including Steven Spielberg’s Empire of the Sun (1987). He was only 13 years old when he was cast in the movie. His career has gone on to include musicals, such as Newsies (1992), and Shakespeare adaptations, including A Midsummer Night’s Dream (1999).
In 2011, he scooped up multiple awards for his role as Dickie Eklund in David O. Russell’s The Fighter.
