She started her career participating in and winning the pageants, Miss Commonwealth and Miss Liverpool. She first became known as one of the cast members of The Real Housewives of Cheshire. McGuinness has appeared on multiple episodes of the talk show, Loose Women, as both a guest and a presenter. She has also appeared on shows like Granada Reports, This Morning, and Good Morning Britain. As a mother to autistic children, McGuinness is an ambassador for Caudwell Children and the National Autistic Society. McGuinness launched a fitness plan and clothing range called My Vibe.
