Christopher Lloyd is an American actor and comedian born in Stamford, Connecticut on October 22, 1938. He is best known for his roles in the films Back to the Future, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Addams Family, and the show Taxi. He made his theater debut in 1961 in a production of the play And They Put Handcuffs on the Flowers. He made his Broadway debut in the production of Red, White, and Maddox. He had roles in a number of other stage productions on and off Broadway, including Kaspar, A Midsummers Night’s Dream, The Seagull, Total Eclipse, The Human Voice and more. He made his on screen debut in 1975 in the film One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and continued landing roles in the films Three Warriors, The Onion Field, Mr. Mom, To Be or Not to Be, Back to the Future, Walk Like a Man, The Dream Team, Twenty Bucks, The Addams Family, Dennis the Menace, The Real Blonde among others. In 1976 he made his debut on television in the show The Adams Chronicles and has since had roles in the shows Taxi, Cheers, Barney Miller, Best of the West, Deadly Games, Cyberchase, Tremors, Clubhouse, Stacked, Psych, Granite Flats and many more. Throughout his career he has been nominated for a number of awards and has won an Obie Award, three Primetime Emmy Awards, two Saturn Awards, a Drama Desk Award and others.
