Chromatics is an American band that was formed in 2001 in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon, United States. The founding member of the band was guitarist and singer Adam Miller and he is now joined by producer/multi-instrumentalist Johnny Jewel and Ruth Radelet (vocalist). The band released their debut album in 2003 and it was Chrome Rats vs. Basement Rutz. Three years later, they followed up with the EP In The City. One year after that 2007’s Night Drive arrived and in 2012, Kill For Love followed. Night Drive was released on Italians Do It Better. The band’s fame grew when the Night Drive single Tick of the Clock was included in Nicolas Winding Refn’s 2011 film Drive as its soundtrack. The band released their fourth full-length effort Kill for Love in 2012 which drove fans crazy. Their fifth album Closer to Grey dropped in October 2019.
