CHVRCHES Bio
CHVRCHES is a Scottish electronic band composed of lead vocalist Lauren, guitarists, bassist and vocalist Iain Cook and sampler and vocalist Martin Doherty, from Glasgow, formed in 2011. n 2012, the group released their debut single “Lies”, which has more than eight million views on YouTube, and led to the band touring with Passion Pit. In 2013 they released an EP, “Recover EP” and performed as SXSW (South by Southwest), and later supported Depeche Mode on tour. Later that same year they released their 2013 debut album, “The Bones of What You Believe” was well received and helped them gain international attention. Singles included in the album like “The Mother We Share” got widespread attention, for example, that song has more than 23 million views on YouTube.
