Luis Diaz, better known by his stage name Cipha Sounds, is a versatile American DJ, comedian, TV personality, actor, and radio personality. He was born in the Bronx, New York, United States, on April 19, 1976.
Cipha started his career as a DJ in the late 1990s, working his way up the ranks of the New York hip-hop scene. He became a household name in the early 2000s as the host of the popular radio show Cipha Sounds & Rosenberg on Hot 97.5 FM. He also gained notoriety as a DJ for some of the biggest names in hip-hop, including Jay-Z and Kanye West.
In addition to his work in music, Cipha has also made a name for himself as a comedian and actor. He has performed stand-up comedy on Comedy Central and appeared on numerous television shows, including Chappelle's Show and Wild 'N Out.
