Clare Smyth MBE is a world renowned chef. She is the first British female chef to hold three Michelin stars in the UK, and the fourth British chef in history to receive the honor. She is the owner of Core by Clare Smyth in London, England and Oncore by Clare Smyth in Sydney, Australia.
In 2013, she was named the Good Food Guide’s ‘National Chef of the Year’. She was also awarded a perfect ten score by the Good Food Guide of the United Kingdom in 2015. Later, she won the title of Young Cornish Fish Chef of the Year. In 2013, she was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire in the 2013 Birthday Honors for services to the hospitality industry.
Her first restaurant, Core opened in August 2017 in Notting Hill. Within the first year, Core achieved a perfect 10 and the highest ever new entry in the Good Food Guide 2019. Clare has received numerous awards including the title of the World's Best Female Chef 2018 by the World's 50 Best Restaurants. She also received two stars in the 2019 Michelin Guide for Great Britain & Ireland. She earned three stars after three years of starting her restaurant, Core.
