Clint Eastwood Bio

Clint Eastwood was born on May 31, 1930. His roles in Western television series and action movies has made him in icon and the entertainment industry. He has worked as an actor, director, and producer, as well as a musician and politician.

Eastwood rose to stardom as a television actor as Rowdy Yates in Rawhide. He is best known as the star of many film franchises, including five Dirty Harry movies and the Dollars Trilogy. The Dollars Trilogy included the movies A Fistful of Dollars (1964), For a Few Dollars More (1965), and The Good, the Bad, and The Ugly (1966). These movies, which included iconic one-liners and a musical theme that is still heard in television and movies around the globe, propelled Eastwood to superstardom.

His film credits go beyond acting. He won the Academy Awards for Best Director and Best Picture in both 1993 and 2005 for the films Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby, respectively. He has also won multiple lifetime achievement awards, including the AFI Life Achievement Award (1996), the Cecil B. DeMille Award (1988), and a Kennedy Center Honors Award (2000).
