Cody Jinks is an American country singer born in Denton, Texas on August 18, 1980. He had a love for country music in his teen years and taught himself how to play several country riffs on his guitar. He ended up joining a heavy metal band named Unchecked Aggression that was together from 1998 to 2003. In 2002 they released the album The Massacre Begins. The band broke up in 2003 and in 2005 Jinks started to pursue country music. In 2008 he released the albums Collector’s Item and Cast No Stones independently. He has since released the albums and EPs, Less Wise, 30, Blacksheep, Adobe Sessions, I’m Not the Devil, and Lifers. His 2016 album I’m Not the Devil reached number 39 on the Billboard 200 album chart and sold over 67k copies. His 2018 album Lifers reached number 11 on the Billboard 200 album chart and sold over 46k copies.
