Colin James Hay is an Australian-American singer, songwriter, and musician who performs pop-rock and new wave music. He was born in Kilwinning, Ayrshire, Scotland, on June 29, 1953. Colin began his music career in 1978 when he formed the band Men at Work with fellow musicians Greg Ham, Jerry Speiser, Ron Strykert, and John Rees, and he went on to perform with the group until 1987 when he released his debut single Hold Me. His discography includes the hit singles Beautiful World, Down Under with Luude, Overkill, Waiting For My Real Life To Begin, and the albums Looking for Jack, Now An The Evermore, and I Just Don’t Know What To Do With Myself. Colin and the other members of Men at Work were inducted into the ARIA Music Awards Hall of Fame.
