Colin Edward Quinn, also known as Colin Quinn, is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and writer born in 1959 in Brooklyn, New York. He is better known for his performance as a cast member of "Saturday Night Live!," where he became an influential figure for comedians like Jerry Seinfeld and Tina Fey. Quinn started his comedy career in 1984 as a host for MTV's "Remote Control," and soon started doing comedy sketches for other networks. He joined "Saturday Night Live!" as a writer and eventual performer from 1996 to 2000. In the following years, he hosted his show "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn" on Comedy Central. The comedian has also spanned a long-standing career presenting one-man shows since 1998, and has made collaborations with Lou Dimaggio and Jerry Seinfeld.
