Common Kings Bio

Common Kings are an American reggae band formed in Orange County, California in 2011. The members of the band are Sasualei on vocals, Taumata Grey on guitar, Ivan Kirimaua on bass guitar, and Jerome Taito on drums. They started the band after meeting at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa. In 2013 they released their debut EP titled #Weontour Soundtrack EP and followed it up that same year with their second EP titled Summer Anthem EP. Both EPs were top ten hits on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart. In 2014 they toured in New Zealand and Australia on Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience World Tour. In 2015 they were signed to the label Island Empire Records and released their third EP titled Hits & Mrs. EP. They released their fourth EP in 2017 titled Lost in Paradise. The album was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album and reached number one on the Billboard Reggae Album chart. In 2018 they released their fifth EP titled One Day Ep that reached number two on the Billboard Reggae Album chart.
