Connie Britton Bio

Connie Britton is an American actress, singer, and producer born in Boston, Massachusetts on March 6, 1967. She is best known for playing Tami Taylor on the television show Friday Night Lights. After graduating from college she moved to New York City and spent two years studying with Sanford Meisner at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theater. She made her theatrical debut in The Early Girl at The Courtyard Playhouse. She spent several years acting in roles in off-Broadway theater productions in New York. In 1995 she made her debut in film in the movie The Brothers McMullen and continued landing roles in films like One Eyed King, Friday Night Lights, Looking for Kitty, The Last Winter, Women in Trouble, Conception, A Nightmare on Elm Street, The To Do List, This Is Where I Leave You, Angels Sing, and others. She made her debut on television in 1995 on the television series Ellen. She has also had roles in the shows Cupid, Spin City The Fugitive, The West Wing, Lost at Home, Friday Night Lights, Life as We Know It, Nashville, Drunk History, Dirty John, and more. Throughout her career she has been nominated for a number of awards and has won a Satellite Award, a Texas Film Hall of Fame Award, and a New York Women in Film & Television Award.
