Cosculluela is the stage name of the Puerto Rican singer and songwriter José Fernando Cosculluela Suárez. He was born in Humacao on October 15, 1980. At 16 years old he started making underground mixtapes and after a few years was discovered by the Latin hip hop producer Echo who signed him to his label Invasion Music. He became well known in the music community after the release of his single “Te Va Ir Mal” featuring Ghetto. In 2007 he left Invasion Music and signed to the label White Lion. In 2009 he released his debut album titled El Principe that reached number three on the Billboard Top Latin Albums Chart. He has since released the albums Ghost Edition, El Nino, War Kingz, Santa Cos, and Blanco Perla. Cosculluela has collaborated with a number of artists, including Daddy Yankee, Nicky Jam, De La Ghetto, Nengo Flow, J Alvarez, Don Omar, Ivy Queen, and many more.
