Born on August 22, 1971, Craig Finn plays post-punk alternative indie music. He is a Minnesota-bred singer and songwriter. His musical influences were John Berryman and Jack Kerouac, including Bruce Springsteen and Paul Westerburg. In 1994, he joined the rock band Lifter Puller, with three albums produced until in 2000 when the band broke up.
Finn then collaborated with Mr. Projectile for a project named “the Brokerdealer” in 2001. He soon reunited with Lifter Puller bassist Tad Kubler forming the Hold Steady on 2004. After five albums with the band, Finn went solo releasing his “Clear Heart Full Eyes” in 2012 via Vagrant Records.
