Craig Delano Melvin is an American journalist, news anchor, and TV personality best known for his work in television. He was born in Columbia, South Carolina, United States, on May 20, 1979.
Craig began his career in news media in 2001 when he joined WIS-TV as an anchor, and after a few years with WRC-TV, he joined NBC News in 2011. He has since made several appearances in the TV shows NewsNation with Tamron Hall, PoliticsNation with Al Sharpton, Megyn Kelly Today, MSNBC Live, Weekend Today, Dateline NBC, and Dateline: Secrets Uncovered, but he is best known for his work as a news anchor on Today, which featured Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, and Al Roker.
