Creed Bratton was born on February 8, 1943, under the name of William Charles Schneider in Sacramento, California. Since young, he was a very talented guitarist. Time after he started a music career in the early 1960s and 1965 he was recruited by Dunhill Records to complete the line-up of The Grass Roots band. He participated in the debut album of The Grass Roots band “Where Were You When I Needed You” from 1966, but in 1969 Bratton decided to drop the group and focus more on his acting career. His debut film was “With Six You Get Eggroll” in 1968 but was only made well-known due to his role in an NBC TV show. He has appeared in the films “Heart Like a Wheel”, “Mask”, and “Terri”, and on television for shows “Eight Is Enough”, “Quincy” and “The Bernie Mac Show”.
