Crown The Empire Bio

Crown The Empire is an American metalcore band from Dallas, Texas. The band consists of Andrew Velasquez as the lead vocalist, Austin Duncan as the keyboardist, Brandon Shroyer on the bass, Alex Massy on the drums, Hayden Tree on guitar and backing vocals and Brandon Hoover as the lead guitarist and backing vocalist. The band formed in 2010 when members of the band met at Volleyville Heritage Highschool. In 2011, Crown The Empire self-released their debut EP, ‘Limitless’, leading to their record deal with Rise Records in 2012. They followed their signing with a new vocalist addition to the group David Escamilla a second album titled ‘The Fallout, which was also reissued in 2013. The band went to tour in promotion to their album while also playing on the South by South West tour with band Like Moths to Flames. In 2014, Crown The Empire released their album, ‘The Resistance: Rise of the Runaway’ followed by ‘Retrograde’ in 2016. ‘Retrograde’ landed on the Billboard Top 200 in the same year and entered the Billboard Hard Rock, Rock and Independent charts. Crown the Empire then toured with Asking Alexandria and Black Veil Brides for most of 2018, also releasing their most recent body of work, ‘Sudden Sky’. After this release, Crown the Empire has four remaining members; Hoober, Tree and the newer additions of Brent Taddie on the drums and Andrew “Any Leo” Rockhold on lead vocals and keyboards.
