The Voice contestant from Texas, Curtis Grimes, is a talented Country singer born on November 18, 1985, in Longview, Texas, United States. As a gifted athlete, he played a crucial role in securing his high school baseball team’s qualification to the state championship. As an undergraduate, he developed a keen interest in music, fueled by encouragement from his peers, started performing at local bars, and made his way to the Country circuit in Oklahoma and Texas. In 2009, he released his debut album “Lonely River”. Deciding to audition for The Voice in 2011 turned the tides in his favor. The popular singing competition provided Curtis with a national audience that adored him. Since then, the star has dominated the Texas Country Music Chart nine times, and in 2018 won the “Male Vocalist of the Year” Award by Texas Country Music Awards.
