Cut Chemist Bio
Born in 1972, Cut Chemist (Lucas MacFadden) is a DJ and rap artist from New York City, New York. Cut Chemist first became well known as a part of the rap group Unity Committee. Unity Committee would eventually merge with another rap group, Rebels of Rhythm, to form Jurassic 5 in 1991. Cut Chemist would remain with Jurassic 5 until 2004 when he finally left the group to go solo, finishing his album “The Audience’s Listening” in 2006. Focusing mainly on DJ Mixes like 2007’s “The Hard Sell” and singles like 2017’s “Work My Mind”, Cut Chemist would not release another album until “Die Cut” in 2018.
