American actress of English descent, Cynthia Addai-Robinson was born on 12th January 1985 in London, England. Cynthia showed a flair for performing arts and is trained in dance forms like jazz, ballet, and tap. She is also an alumnus of the Lee Strasberg Theater Insititute. After many off-Broadway show appearances, she landed her first TV role in 2002 on one episode of ‘The Education of Max Bickford.’ This was followed by several small roles on shows like ‘Trial by Jury’, ‘Law & Order’, ‘CSI: Miami’, ‘Numb3rs’, and ‘Justice’. Her first recurring role came in the ABC drama, ‘FlashForward’. In 2011, she played the role of Zoe Saldana in the film ‘Colombiana’, marking her entry into cinema. She is best known for playing the role of Naevia in the third and fourth seasons of ‘Spartacus’. She also appeared in two episodes of ‘The Vampire Diaries’, as Aha the powerful witch. Her performance in the miniseries, ‘Texas Rising’, received a nomination for the Women’s Image Network Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series. She has also appeared in ‘The Accountant’, alongside J K Simmons and Ben Affleck.
