Grammy-winning reggae artist Damian “Junior Gong” Marley, born Damian Robert Nesta Marley on July 21st 1978 in Kingston, Jamaica, is the youngest son of the legendary Bob Marley. Damian showed an affinity for music at a young age, performing as a vocalist in The Shepherds. His first solo album, Mr. Marley, showcased his heavily dancehall-influenced music. His second album, Halfway Tree, highlighted his unique gift for blending dancehall, reggae and hip-hop, and won him a Grammy for Best Reggae Album. His next album, Welcome to Jamrock, won two Grammy Awards for Best Urban/Alternative Performance, and Best Reggae Album. The album features a range of guests including Bobby Brown, and Bunny Wailer. He continued to collaborate with other artists, making appearances on albums for Snoop Dogg, Gwen Stefani, Mariah Carey, Nas, Bruno Mars, and Shaggy. Marley also collaborated with Skrillex on the ground-breaking track, Make It Bun Dem. Damian continued his iconic legacy with the album Stony Hill, which won a Grammy for Best Reggae Album.
