Dan Auerbach is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer born in Akron, Ohio on May 14, 1979. He is best known as the vocalist and guitarist for the blues rock band The Black Keys. With the band he has released eight studio albums, two EPs, and one live album. The Black Keys have won five Grammy Awards, a Brit Award, an MTV Video Music Award, and two MVPA Awards. Auerbach released his debut solo album in 2009 titled Keep It Hid. In 2013 Dan won a Grammy Award for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical for co-producing The Black Keys album El Camino. In 2015 he started a side project band named The Arcs. They released their debut album that same year titled Yours, Dreamily with Nonesuch Records and followed it up that same year with the album The Arcs vs. The Inventors Vol 1. In 2017 Dan released his second solo studio album titled Waiting on a Song.
