Dan Hedaya is an actor born on 24th July 1940 in New York, United States. He is widely recognized for playing various characters on screen, stage, and television. He is particularly known for playing Carla’s husband Nick Tortelli, in the television sitcom “Cheers”. Hedaya always had a passion for acting, and after completing his studies at Tufts University, he launched his career in acting. He went on to appear in the New York Shakespeare Festival for several years.
He made his film debut in 1975 with the film “The Passover”. Since 1980, he has starred in more than 20 films, often appearing in the role of a cop, criminal, or the regular joe. In 1984, he played the lead role in the film “Blood Simple”. Most of Hedaya’s work can be found on television. He has appeared as a guest actor in a wide range of shows, from courtroom and police drama to sitcoms.
