Dan Marino Bio

Dan Marino was born on 15th September 1961 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, United States. He is a former American football player who played for the NFL team Miami Dolphins for 17 years. Marino is a holder of numerous NFL awards. He was never named in the Super Bowl Championship squad but has received massive recognition as one of the best quarterback foursomes in the history of American football.

In 1984, he was the first quarterback to reach passing totals of 5,000 yards and 48 touchdown passes in a single season. Known for his big arm, Marino molded himself into one of the best passers in the league, setting a career record of 8,358 attempts, 4,967 completions, and 420 touchdowns. After hanging his boots in 2000, Marino was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2005. In 2014, he returned to the Miami Dolphins as a special adviser.
