Dan Mullen is an American football coach born in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania on April 27, 1972. He is currently the head coach at the University of Florida. Mullen played college football at Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. He got his start in coaching in 1994 when he became a wide receiver coach for The Wagner Seahawks football program. From 1996 to 1997 he was a Wide receiver coach for the Columbia Lions football program. In 1998 he became a graduate assistant for The Syracuse Orange football team and from 1999 to 2000 was a graduate assistant for The Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team. From 2001-2002 he served as the quarterback coach for the Bowling Green Falcons football team and also served as the quarterback coach for Utah Utes football team from 2003 to 2004 and the Florida Gators football team from 2005 to 2008. In 2009 he was hired as the Head Coach for Mississippi State University and was with the team until 2017. In 2018 he became the head coach for the Florida Gators football team at the University of Florida. Mullen has coached several notable players like Alex Smith, Tim Tebow, Derek Prescott, Chris Leak, and Josh Harris.
